CellFiber, a biotechnology company specialising in cell and gene therapy technologies, has announced the official launch of its Zeito™ series of cell fibre fabrication systems in Japan and the United States, marking a significant step in expanding access to its CellFiber® technology for next-generation cell therapy development.
The launch follows the opening of CellFiber's US office in Philadelphia last week, strengthening the company's international presence and its commitment to supporting the growing cell and gene therapy ecosystem.
The newly introduced Zeito™ series is designed to address different stages of cell therapy development, from early-stage research to large-scale cell manufacturing.
Zeito™ Lite is positioned for early-stage research applications, enabling research teams to explore and develop cell-based technologies using CellFiber® technology. Zeito™ Plus, meanwhile, is designed to support large-scale cell manufacturing through GMP-compliant processes, addressing the manufacturing requirements associated with advancing cell therapies towards clinical and commercial applications.
The product portfolio reflects CellFiber's strategy to make its proprietary cell fibre fabrication technology accessible to a broader range of biotechnology companies, research institutions and cell therapy developers.
Kazuchika Furuishi, Representative Director and CEO of CellFiber, announced the launch, highlighting the company's ambition to bring CellFiber® technology to more teams developing the next generation of cell therapies.
The expansion into the US market, alongside the launch in Japan, represents an important milestone for CellFiber as it seeks to strengthen its position in the evolving cell therapy manufacturing landscape.
With the Zeito™ series, CellFiber aims to support researchers and developers across different stages of cell therapy innovation, helping bridge the transition from laboratory-scale research to larger-scale manufacturing.
The announcement comes amid increasing industry focus on scalable, reproducible and GMP-compliant manufacturing technologies to support the development and commercialisation of advanced cell therapies.
