Origins of MiYOSMART lenses

Developed by HOYA Vision Care in cooperation with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, MiYOSMART is a line of innovative ophthalmic lenses for myopia management. The foundation of myopia progression management technology comes from Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments (D.I.M.S.) Technology.

Based on the results of the two-year clinical trial conducted by the Centre for Myopia Research at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, it is proven that MiYOSMART slowed down myopia progression by an average of 60%^[1] compared to conventional single vision lenses.

Just last year, the six-year follow-up clinical study proved the MiYOSMART spectacle lens myopia control effect is sustained over time^ for children wearing the lens. It is also the longest study conducted on a myopia management spectacle lens ever.
